During your visit

A warm welcome is just the beginning

Our concierge will greet you when you arrive, and get you settled in at the centre.

You’ll be able to see the status of the theatres on the dashboard in the waiting area.

Although we recommend leaving valuables at home, we do have lockers available for any items you bring with you.

To help the day run smoothly please:

  1. Make sure you observe the fasting period as per the booking staff’s instructions.
  2. Arrive at the time given to you by the booking staff.
  3. Bring anything relevant to your admission (x-rays, regular medications, consent forms etc.).
  4. Don’t wear nail polish or make-up.

Thoughtful, efficient and professional care

At any moment in the day, our specially trained staff are available to answer any questions you may have.

We’ll take you through to your individual waiting area, where you’ll be given a linen robe to change into.  Once you’re ready and the theatre is available, we’ll take you in for your procedure.

Your next of kin will be notified once you’re out of surgery and ready for pick up.

While you’re waiting, you’ll be recovering in a private, comfortable space, with a view out to the ocean. Once you’re feeling a bit better, you can move to our recovery lounge, which has an iPad for entertainment, and healthy, café style food and drinks to help kick-start your recovery.

As you leave, you’ll receive a pack to take home with essential information for your recovery.

Ramsay Pharmacy

If you need to purchase any medications or incidentals before you leave, our pharmacy is located on the ground floor, just outside the main entrance.

We will notify your next of kin when you’re out of surgery.  If they would like to leave the hospital, it’s relatively close to both the city centre and the beach.  Here are some handy tips for getting here and parking.
